The Agency
was created and licensed by Suzie Steen in association with
Steen TV Productions to assist the professional and student
actors who want to work (or who are working) in the "industry".
The Agency is well respected, and will always
remain small enough for personal attention to all actors
who join. While Northsore Actors' Management is located
on Sydney's North Shore, it represents actors from all over
Sydney and some in QLD and WA.
Being on the North Shore enables us to take
advantage of the series and films that are shot on the Northern
Beaches and offers an opportunity for people in this area
to have an agent (and interaction with other actors and
industry people in their area).
Very inexpensive Audition Classes are offered
3x per year for Northshore Actors only.
Representation and Membership to Northshore Actors’ Website entitles you to:
- Northshore Actors’ Website and your own personal page (viewing limited to select clients only)
- Membership to “News & Views” Free.
- Your own password to NS Actors website with industry/and general acting tips and information which is a wonderful tool to keep you informed and give guidance on writing cover letters, CVs, and headshots etc.
- Marketing, Advertising, Administration & prompt payment of work
- Negotiation of contracts and payments using Equity/MEAA (Union) standards
- Fair trading practices
- Private lessons for major auditions ($10)
- Assistance with CV set up
- Assistance with compiling a Show Reel (separate fee for editing and producing DVDs)
- At2 (Artists Technologies) Membership required (separate cost)
- Showcast Membership required (separate cost)
Other costs that could be incurred:
- Photo session (makeup & hair included) or you may submit your own photo if it meets the standards of our Management or we will refer you to a local photographer
- Ongoing acting workshops (separate fees)
- Actor Union Membership Equity/MEAA
- Show Reel
When required, all Actors are assisted with audition pieces, script analysis and monologues. Some are offered Drop-In classes and Weekend Workshops.
A pricelist will be sent to you if you call or email and register a genuine interest in joining our Agency with respect to costs for memberships to various websites and/or Actor Unions.
ACTORS ARE INTERVIEWED TWICE per YEAR in January/February and August/September.
Monologues are not required, but you may be asked to read a short scene with another actor.
On occasion we hold Workshops for actors wishing to be considered for representation.
